OK, so here's what happened.... I was loading my drums into my car after a gig. My iPad was in my trunk in a small computer bag which I put on the ground behind my car while I was putting my drums in. A friend of mine came over to my car and we talked for about 30 minutes, like we all do after a gig. We said goodbye, I hopped into my car, backed over my computer bag and then drove forward. I felt the bump in the road and hoped it was a manhole cover or something. I could see my computer bag in my side-view mirror and I gasped. I went back and opened my computer bag to find I had cracked the screen and bent the iPad. It still worked, but I really messed up.
Now for the happy ending. I made an appointment to see a "genius" at the Apple Store. The guy was really cool, he himself was a drummer. I told him honestly what happened. I told him I was having trouble with my iPad, he asked me "what seems to be the problem", I replied, "well, I ran it over with my car". He laughed and promptly, offered to swap it out for a new one. I couldn't believe it! I certainly didn't deserve it. I now have a brand new iPad, free of charge! I LOVE APPLE!. Thanks so much. Try getting Samsung or Acer to replace an Android tablet for free!
Anyway, I thought I'd share my good fortune and spread some love for Apple. I ran my iPad over with my car
